Moneybagg Yo of CMG has been on a press run for his latest project Hard to Love. He recently did an interview with Complex and discussed a variety of topics including money.
One of the topics landed on finances and what has changed for the rapper since his elevated success. The once-viral topic of Moneybagg’s net worth came up, and when asked if he believes what is shown on the internet, the rapper immediately denied!
The Memphis star said, “What the net worth go off of, whatever you got logged in? I forgot. Somebody told me whatever it is. The taxable dollars or whatever that may be. I don’t want to say too much about that with cameras around.”
Moneybagg continued saying, “I made way more than that last year. For one performance, I got $200,000 before. This when I first went up and was like, ‘$200,000 a show, it’s what it is,’ Ya’ll set the standard.” He clearly disputes the $4M net worth.
The rapper concluded by saying, “I’m still a hustler, I’m a street n***a at the end of the day so I understand business, too. So it’s like, everybody ain’t got the $200,000. I ain’t going no less than $150,000. We’re going to make it happen.”
Hard to Love
His new project, Hard to Love, boasts pre-release singles such as “Quickie,” “Ocean Spray” and “On What U On,” which peaked at No. 56 on the Hot 100. Hard to Love is Moneybagg Yo’s first project since 2021’s A Gangsta’s Pain. Click below to listen.
